A brief note as the morning sun begins to peek over the trees in Northern Indiana…

If the world looks full of darkness. If you are in any kind of pain. If you see injustice and it disturbs your peace. If you yearn for something better, deeper, more beautiful, TAKE HEART! Today is March 25th. We are exactly 9 months away from Christmas, which means today is the Feast of the Annunciation of Our Lord, the moment in history when the angel Gabriel appeared to a young girl named Mary and asked her to cooperate with God’s plan. When told of this plan, she said yes, “Let it be done to me according to thy word.”

Today we celebrate the day that Our Savior came into human form and was conceived within the womb of His mother, Mary. At that moment just over 2,000 years ago, our rescue mission was launched. The God-Man had landed on human soil! Help was on its way!

Now it’s up to us whether to accept him and the help that he offers. He WILL NOT force us to accept the help. But why not accept it??? We have everything to gain and nothing (of relative importance) to lose! All we have to do is make Him the center of our lives and BOOM! – we are saved! Believe, be baptized, and by your thoughts, words, and actions, allow Him to take you by the hand and lead you to safety. Strive to live in a state of grace. Strive to be holy. Not only will you ultimately get to safety, the journey to the promised land will be more beautiful and fulfilling than you can even imagine.
